Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you’re completely new to church or just haven’t been for awhile, we’d love to see you. Join us on Sundays or Tuesday evenings. At First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster you can expect a friendly welcome, a dynamic service, and relevant teaching.

What time are services?

Sundays: Bible Study starts at 8:30am

                 Common Grounds Cafe 9:30am

                 Worship Service 10:00am

Wednesdays: Fellowship at 5pm

Adult, Students, and Children programs 6-7:30pm

What should I wear?

You are welcome to dress up in suits/dresses or come casual in jeans/slacks. God is more concerned about what is in your heart that what you wear.

How will I know where to go?

When you arrive, one of our Greeters will direct you to a Bible study class, the nursery, or Worship Service.

Is childcare provided?

On Sundays, childcare is offered in the nursery for infants through three years old. The children's classes are from pre-school through 5th grade. We also have Children's Church during Worship Service for ages pre-school through 5th grade.

What can I expect for my first time?

You can expect our family to greet you and your family in a relaxed environment of acceptance. And you can expect Bible study and relevant sermons from God's Word.

What are your services like?

There is a time of greeting one another and fresh passionate worship through music. Our pastor delivers a sermon of truth from God's Word. At the end of service there is a time dedicated to reflection and prayer. You can pray where you are, pray on your knees at the altar, or pray with the Pastor.

Will I be required to give money?

As a visitor to our church you are not required or committed to any financial obligation. If you feel you would like to donate at the designated time you are free to do so.

Do I need to bring a Bible? What if I don't have a Bible?

Our Bible studies and sermons are taught directly from the Bible, God's Holy Word. We encourage you to bring one if you have one. If you do not have a Bible we would be happy to lend you one.
